Glenstriven is fortunate to be set in an unspoilt rural location in some of the most attractive and accessible wild country in Scotland on the Cowal Peninsula, an area comprising many lochs, glens, hills and forests.
The house itself is set in over 500 acres of hillside and grounds on the shores of Loch Striven. Once you get to the end of the road (literally), a one mile private driveway brings you to Glenstriven House. The house has recently been refurbished to a high standard, offering seven ensuite bedrooms with stunning views, a snooker room and its own pub, the Glenstriven Arms, all with modern amenities such as Starlink high speed internet and a fully equipped modern kitchen.
The grounds contain many impressive and rare trees, from towering sequoias, redwoods and firs to endangered species from South America in the newly established arboretum. Local wildlife includes many species of deer, red squirrels, owls, buzzards and eagles, and seals, porpoises and even the occasional whale in Loch Striven. We welcome private bookings and events.
